A source said: “Betsy is so incredibly excited to be able to start a career in the state.

“She’s been performing professionally since she was 12 and these are the opportunities she’s been dreaming of.”

As well as two Netflix shows, Betsy has also been reported to have landed the lead role in a movie.

The insider continued to MailOnline: “Betsy’s managed to land a starring role in two TV shows and a few movies. It all happened very quickly.

“One of the television shows is created by the team behind 13 Reasons Why and The OA, and many more great series that she is a fan of.”

And it’s not just her professional life that Betsy excels at.

Earlier this year, she got engaged to songwriter David Stewart, who wrote K-Pop megagroup BTS’ hit Dynamite, which has sold more than 20 million copies worldwide.

Betsy’s band Only The Young split just a year after competing on The X Factor.

Member Parisa Tarjomani was the first to officially announce her departure from the group.

She wrote on her blog at the time: “Over the past 3 years I’ve really grown up and I’ve learned that sometimes you have to move on when things don’t make you happy anymore.”

However, Betsy later took to social media to insist “no one decided to just leave”.

She added: “Some people just wanted to give you that impression.”

Betsy later followed up with a cryptic post that read: “There are always 2 sides to every story.”
