DANI Dyer has called it quits with ex-boyfriend Sammy Kimmence after feeling betrayed when the extent of his crimes that he covered up for her were revealed.
The Love Island winner was left heartbroken when Kimmence was jailed for 42 months after defrauding OAPs out of £34,000.
Who is Sammy Kimence?
Born in 1995, Sammy is a stockbroker and amateur footballer from Essex.
He used to play for Barkingside FC.
In 2020, he was charged with defrauding the elderly of money.
His ex-girlfriend Dani Dyer, the daughter of EastEnders actor Danny Dyer, had many ups and downs with Sammy and her actor father initially disapproved of their relationship.
The couple welcomed a son in January 2021.
But due to Sammy’s legal issues, he did not meet his son for the first year of his life.
Why did Sammy Kimence go to jail?
Kimence was jailed for three-and-a-half years after posing as a financial investor to con two vulnerable victims, aged 80 and 90 at the time, out of more than £33,000.
Portsmouth Crown Court heard that Kimmence’s actions left an RAF veteran “living on the breadline”.
Kimmence was working in sales and administration for a sportsbook when he met his elderly victims.
His victims were clients at the legal investment company Equine Global Sports Limited, where Kimmence worked as a senior trader.
The company will place bets on behalf of their customers with money that the customers give them.
However, Kimence took the money from the customers after the business went into liquidation.
He falsely told his victims that he was authorized to provide financial services.
Mike Mason, prosecuting, said: “This was a very unpleasant fraud against two men who Mr. Kimmence was deliberately targeted.
“He targeted them because they were old, they were vulnerable and somewhat isolated.
“It wasn’t something he migrated to out of a friendship. It was something he planned.”

Dani gave birth to her baby boy with her partner Sammy in January 2021.
Announcing the birth, she said: “After a very long day and night, our special boy finally arrived on 01/23/2021…weighing 7lbs.

Dani initially believed that her swindler boyfriend would be let off the hook for his crimes. But that was before the full extent of his terrible actions was known.
The source said: “Sammy dismissed the court case every step of the way and made Dani believe he didn’t do anything too serious.
“Now she knows the full horror of what he did, she is broken, she feels desperately sorry for the two men he deceived and whose lives he ruined.”
The 24-year-old is said to “feel completely stupid for ever believing Sammy and she’s completely overwhelmed.”
“The little dream family she thought she had has been torn apart and she is now trying to figure out how best to pick up the pieces.”
She has also been the target of “evil” trolls on social media and wasted no time calling them out for their appalling behavior.
When did Dani Dyer and Sammy Kimmence start dating?
Kimence and Dani have been in and out of a relationship since before her appearance on Love Island in 2018.
This is the third time the pair have been in a relationship together.
Before Dani entered the Love Island villa, they had a relationship that ended in a series of rows.
After she left the villa and her romance with Jack Fincham came to an end, they rekindled their romance.
On 23 April 2019, The Sun exclusively revealed that the couple had rekindled their romance after being spotted embracing in public.
An onlooker said: “Dani and Sammi have been drinking and partying and have made no secret of getting back together.
“Dani couldn’t keep her hands off him and the feeling was clearly completely mutual – they kissed for ages before leaving as a group, but he seemed keen to pass something on to one of his male friends give before they go.”
A friend told The Sun: “They were together for about a year but she never really got over him and they quickly reconnected when she split from Jack.”
After dating for 10 months, the pair split again in March 2020 when Sammy was in court for defrauding pensioners out of their savings.
A few weeks later, they were reported to be back together in lockdown, and Dani is now denying that they ever broke up in March.
However, after Kimmence’s conviction, Dani finally had enough and ended things with the con artist.
She was also seen taking her former partner’s car back to a BMW dealership in Debden on Thursday July 15 after he was jailed for five counts of fraud.

Dani’s father, English actor and presenter Danny Dyer, said he was upset because he could not meet the baby in hospital after Dani gave birth to her son.
He said on his podcast: “I don’t think I’m allowed to see my own grandchild. It’s very upsetting.”
However, the proud grandad posted on Instagram: “So my baby had a baby. F**k me, we needed some joy this year.
