Joining the “Barbie” mania and the slew of Mattel collaborations released this year, Cake Beauty has unveiled its Barbie hair care collection, titled “Totally Hair, That’s Totally You.” The limited-edition collection draws inspiration from the Mattel doll released in 1992, with hair products to create big and bold hairstyles. 

“This feels like a full-circle moment for Cake Beauty. We create with heart, and we think beyond the pink,” Heather Reier, founder of Cake Beauty, said in a statement. “Releasing this limited-edition collection of high-performing, time-saving, innovative, cruelty-free and vegan confections celebrate not only Barbie but the ever-evolving modern woman.”

With prices ranging from $8.99 to $57.84, the full Barbie x Cake “Totally Hair, That’s Totally You” collection is available at cakebeautyusa.com. The collection includes The Curl Friend defining curl cream, The Curl Whip whipped curl, The ‘Do Gooder volumizing dry shampoo spray, The Big Wig thickening volume conditioner and other products to encourage people to be more creative with their hair. 

The limited-edition collection is also packaged in pink, with colorful stripes from a bright color palette reminiscent of the ‘90s.

According to the Guinness World Records, Mattel’s “Totally Hair“ Barbie doll was the highest-selling doll in the toy brand’s history. Part of its virality sprung from its features, which included a Barbie with 11.5 inches of ultra-long hair, scrunchies and color-changing details.
