SHAKIRA is “begging Tom Cruise to leave her alone and stop flirting with her” after the pair’s F1 encounter sparked dating rumours.

There was speculation that the Waka Waka singer and Tom were linked after they were spotted mingling in Miami earlier this month.

According to Spanish newspaper Brandreports of the pair’s meeting confirmed that the Mission Impossible actor, 60, was “absolutely smitten” with the singer and even told a close circle of friends that he felt a connection with her.

An insider tells page six that there was “chemistry” between Tom and Shakira – with the actor sending her flowers after meeting.

But Shakira (46) is reportedly “focused on her family” rather than dating anyone at the moment, following her messy split from husband Gerard Pique last year.

Heat magazine claims the Colombian singer-songwriter “begged” him [Tom] to stop flirting with her,” citing a source who made other comments about the meeting.

The source also claimed that Tom was “giddy” after talking to Shakira while adding that the interactions were similar to “how he acted” when he was first with ex-wife Katie Holmes.

After being photographed together at the Grand Prix in Miami, the source reported that the Whenever Wherever singer was just being “friendly” before Tom allegedly started calling her his “dream woman”.

The source added: “She doesn’t want to embarrass him or upset him, but there’s no attraction or romance on her part – she’s just being friendly. She’s flattered but not interested.”

Shakira’s message was reportedly “politely” shared with the actor who apparently isn’t giving up on finding love again, despite the singer not being interested.

US weekly reports Shakira “saw the online rumors that Tom is courting her,” but “thinks it’s hilarious because it’s just not true.”

It comes as the Hips Don’t Lie singer was also spotted enjoying a sunny boat ride with Lewis Hamilton.

Shakira was picked up from the back of her £16million Miami Beach mansion before cruising around Biscayne Bay with the Mercedes driver.

She was all smiles as she boarded the vessel which had an inflatable crocodile attached to the top – and was apparently greeted by Lewis.

The couple were spotted just days before having dinner together at the luxury Cipriani restaurant.

Shakira appears to be seen walking across the restaurant in the clip as she appears to approach Hamilton’s table.

But despite being spotted out and about with Lewis, The Sun Online understands the duo are just friends.

Last May, Shakira announced her separation from soccer player Gerard Pique after spending 11 years together.

The Colombian singer-songwriter was reportedly “evicted” from her home in Barcelona last month by Pique’s father, who initiated her move to Miami.

The mother-of-two made no mention of the eviction order in the farewell message she posted on Instagram after she was pictured leaving the Catalan capital with her two children to start a new life in Florida.

Shakira and Pique confirmed in November they had reached a child custody agreement after a marathon 12-hour meeting with their lawyers.

They signed the agreement at a court in Barcelona the following month.

As part of the deal, Pique, who is now dating 24-year-old Catalan beauty Clara Chia, will spend holiday time with his children.

Shakira’s wish to move to Miami, where she lived and part of her family is based, was said to be the sticking point in the former couple’s previous failure to reach an out-of-court settlement.

They share two sons, nine-year-old Milan and Sasha, seven.
