Priscilla Presley asked to be buried next to her ex-husband Elvis, despite the fact that her body is currently buried between both of his parents’ graves.

The 77-year-old reportedly made the request while she was involved in a long-running dispute with her granddaughter, Riley Keough, 33, over the Graceland multi-million dollar estate of the late Lisa Marie Presley, daughter of Elvis and Priscilla.

Despite being embroiled in the legal battle – which ended in a joint settlement on Tuesday – Priscilla has made a request to be buried next to Elvis at his legendary estate in Memphis, according to TMZ.

Sources told the publication that Priscilla’s request was immediately refused as it would involve moving her parents’ headstones, and she ‘backed out’.

Priscilla told the magazine: ‘Although I’m not planning on going anywhere anytime soon. This is my family and my wish that I will be laid to rest with my daughter and the love of my life when that time comes. We appreciate the love from all the fans.’

Priscilla filed the legal challenge to Lisa Marie’s will just two weeks after her death in January at the age of 54.

The will gives control of Lisa Marie’s wealthy Promenade Trust to her daughter Riley.

Riley (33), who was reportedly furious when her grandmother went to court to protest the will, did not object to Priscilla’s challenge.

On Tuesday, it became clear that she and her grandmother had buried the hatchet and settled their differences.

After announcing to LA Superior Court Judge Lynn Scaduto that there was an agreement between the two, Riley’s attorney Justin Gold added that he plans to file a motion to seal the details of the settlement to them to keep from the public eye.

The lawyers also stated in court Tuesday that the women reached a settlement over a second trust involving Lisa Marie’s insurance policies — believed to be $35 million.

Judge Scaduto scheduled an Aug. 4 hearing for the court to give official approval of both settlements.

“Priscilla is happy,” her lawyer Ronson Shamoun told DailyMail.com “The families are happy and united and together and excited for the future.”

Asked if Riley was also happy with the settlement, Gold told DailyMail.com: ‘She wouldn’t have agreed to the settlement if she wasn’t happy with it.’

Riley has always supported her mother during her protracted, often nasty divorce and child custody disputes with her fourth husband, musician Michael Lockwood, 61, father of Lisa Marie’s twin, 14-year-old daughters, Finley and Harper.

Priscilla and Lisa Marie were reported to have ‘barely spoken’ just before the latter’s death after Priscilla sided with Lockwood over custody of the twins.

Several sources told People that the mother and daughter have not been on speaking terms, despite appearing together at several events, including the premiere for the Elvis biopic with Austin Butler.

“Riley was always on her mother’s side when it came to Michael (Lockwood),” one source told the magazine. “It bothered her that her grandmother and Michael flew together to (Lisa Marie’s) funeral.”

Priscilla also helped Michael get into the ceremony at Elvis’ famous home, Graceland, despite her late daughter’s wishes.

“Michael was not invited,” a close friend of Lisa Marie told People. ‘He came to Memphis under the guise of chaperoning the twins – and he made his way in with Priscilla’s help.

“The last thing Lisa Marie would have wanted was for Michael to be there.”

The rift between Riley and her grandmother began when Priscilla went to court – days after Lisa Marie’s memorial service – to challenge her daughter’s decision in 2016 to change her will, naming Priscilla and her former manager Barry Siegel as trustees remove and replace with Riley. .

The will includes the rights to the Graceland mansion and a 15 percent stake in Elvis Presley Enterprises. Lisa Marie also had two life insurance policies, one reportedly worth $25 million and another for $10 million.

In addition to replacing Priscilla as a trustee and cutting her out of the will, Lisa Marie’s 2016 amendment also named Riley’s brother Benjamin as the other trustee. But Benjamin committed suicide in 2020, leaving Riley as the sole designated heir.

Priscilla’s defiant petition to the court questioned the ‘authenticity and validity’ of the trust, claiming that Lisa Marie’s signature was ‘inconsistent’, and asked to be reinstated as a trustee.

The grandmother of four also claimed she was not aware that Lisa Marie had changed the trust in 2016 until after her daughter passed away.

If Priscilla’s petition were granted, she and Riley would be made co-trustees of Lisa Marie’s estate.

Last month, Judge Scaduto granted Lockwood’s petition to be appointed ‘guardian ad litem’ of Harper and Finley – allowing him to represent the girls over their mother’s hotly contested estate.

Harper and Finley are both beneficiaries of Lisa Marie’s trust while their father Lockwood is not.

Lisa Marie died in January, hours after suffering a cardiac arrest at her home in Calabasas, California.

She was rushed to hospital in a critical condition and is said to have been in a coma following a ‘full cardiac arrest’ shortly after complaining of stomach pain.

Priscilla, who was by her daughter’s side, said in a statement: ‘It is with a heavy heart that I have to share the devastating news that my beautiful daughter Lisa Marie has left us.

‘She was the most passionate strong and loving woman I have ever known. We ask for privacy as we try to cope with this profound loss. Thanks for the love and prayers. At this stage there will be no further comment.’

Lisa Marie’s death comes just two days after she was photographed with her mother at the Golden Globe Awards at the Beverly Hills Hilton where Austin Butler won a best actor award for his portrayal of her father in Baz Luhrmann’s Elvis.

Lisa Marie’s life has been tumultuous, with five stints in rehab for cocaine and opioid abuse, four failed marriages – including one to Michael Jackson – as well as the loss of her son to suicide and a heated custody battle over her twin girls with Lockwood whom she falsely accused of child pornography.
