Nicole Scherzinger makes major new career move as she announces iconic role
NICOLE Scherzinger has announced a major career move after landing the lead role in an iconic musical.
The Pussycat Dolls singer (44) will play Norma Desmond in a new production of Sunset Boulevard in London’s West End.
Andrew Lloyd Webber, the man behind the show’s music, heaped praise on former X Factor judge Nicole and her vocal abilities ahead of her run at the Savoy Theater in September.
He said: “Nicole is one of the best singers I’ve worked with and I can’t wait to start this exciting show with her and the rest of this brilliant team.”
Based on the 1950 film of the same name, Sunset Boulevard tells the story of Norma, a faded star of silent movies.
Living in a dilapidated mansion, Norma is desperate to return to her former glory and a chance meeting with a young screenwriter provides just the opportunity.

After the Pussycat Dolls disbanded in 2010, Nicole launched a solo music career which saw her achieve five UK top 10 singles.
She made her West End debut in 2014 when she starred as Grizabella in the musical Cats.
Nicole’s exciting news comes after she performed at the Coronation Concert for King Charles earlier this month.
She took the stage to deliver a mesmerizing performance of Reflection from Disney’s Mulan.
