Nick Jonas Confirmed the Jonas Brothers Won’t Be Duetting Any Songs About Sex
Nick Jonas (30) set the record straight for sexy songs with his older brothers Joe (33) and Kevin (35) – it’s not happening.
The purity rings that once defined them as teenagers are long gone, and the boys are all grown up now, which means their music is no longer PG-13. Their 2013 split allowed them to explore previously off-limits topics like sex—as if Disney would ever greenlight Nick’s “Jealous” or DNCE’s “Cake by the Ocean.” When the brothers got back together in 2019, they were no longer children.
While their music isn’t exclusively explicit, there are some raucous lines sprinkled into the mix. The brothers have worked out a system for performing sensual songs, so you won’t hear Joe and Nick duetting any suggestive lyrics. In an interview with Hustlethe Jonas Brothers shared their approach: “We’re always aware that we’re three brothers singing together on stage, so when we’re singing specifically about sex, it has to be kind of a nuanced thing, otherwise it can get a little be strange ”

A single from their sixth studio album, The Album, features a particular string of racy lyrics. “Summer In The Hamptons” cuts straight to the point before the chorus – “Hot waterfalls keep falling on me/Your body takes me to some kind of place/Sex like summer in the Hamptons.” Believe it or not, it’s softer than what comes next: “I’m deep in your sand / A different kind of warmth.” Alright guys! “Of course we don’t play those songs,” Joe explained. individual sing in it.”
