Netflix fans can’t sleep and plagued by visions of rats after horror epic – saying they’ll never switch on a TV again
NETFLIX fans are unable to sleep after watching the Stephen King horror 1922.
The American horror, which is available to watch on the popular streaming service, is based on author Stephen King’s book of the same name.
The 2017 movie, written and directed by Zak Hilditch, follows the story of a man named Wilfred “Wilf” James and his family based in 992.
Wilf manages to convince his son Henry to help him kill his mother Arlette after she tries to convince them to move from Nebraska to Omaha.
They successfully kill her – but it is not the end for both of them as they are constantly being followed by rats.
It stars the likes of Thomas Jane, Molly Parker, Neal McDonough and Kaitlyn Bernard.
Many took to Twitter to share how good they thought it was — and how scary, too.
One said: “I was watching 1922 on Netflix – I was scared lol.”
“Hmmm 1922 scared the crap out of me. Highly recommended on Netflix if you haven’t seen it,” tweeted another.
A third chimed in: “I watched 1922, Netflix, Oh My Hell, Rats It was Great..”
It comes shortly after Netflix viewers were completely left out by watching the “grotesque” horror movie Viking Wolf.
The film, which is about a teenage girl who turns into a werewolf, includes disturbing scenes of people being torn apart, which left some fans “terrified”.
Fans have now taken to Twitter to reveal their anguish after watching the film, with one saying: “My 8 year old sister thought she was clever and watched the Viking Wolf on Netflix. She got into me at midnight sneaked into room while the nightmares are nightmare. [sic].
This one tweeted: “Just watching Netflix scary Film (Viking Wolf) I know, not a good idea this late at night.”
While another called the movie “grotesque”.
This is not the first time that Netflix fans have been left “traumatized”.
Just last week, viewers were shocked after streaming new documentary House of Secrets: The Burari Deaths.
