Mel B reveals major Spice Girls reunion update about Victoria Beckham
MEL B has sensationally revealed that Victoria Beckham is set to rejoin the Spice Girls for a mystery project.
The singer, 47, claimed an exciting announcement was just around the corner, news that will delight Spice Girls fans around the world.
Although tight-lipped on details, Mel has promised that all five girls will unite professionally for the first time in 11 years, following their iconic performance at the London Olympics closing ceremony in 2012.
The Fashion designer, 49, notably chose not to join her fellow Wannabe hitmakers for their 2019 UK stadium tour, claiming she was too busy with her namesake clothing brand.
But now the timing is perfect, according to Mel, and Victoria’s agreed to get back behind the microphone.
She told The Sun exclusively: “My theory is that if I say it enough, it will happen. But actually we plan to release a statement.
“What it is, I can’t say right now because we’re just finalizing what we’re going to do together, all five of us, but it’s going to be something that the fans are really going to love. “
When asked how they persuaded Victoria to come back, she replied: “Well, it’s not even about convincing her. I mean she dressed me and my mum for when I got my MBE so we were pretty much always in touch.
“It’s not like none of us talk together, we all have a WhatsApp group, but it’s just about timing.
“She’s been very busy doing her Fashion line and supporting David with his moves and his career and of course she’s got loads of kids so it’s just about finding the right time.
“And we got it right, so there should be an announcement soon.”
The former X Factor judge hit the road with Melanie C, Emma Bunton and Geri Horner four years ago as part of a 13-date UK tour.
Victoria told Vogue Germany at the time: “It took me a lot of courage not to go on tour with the Spice Girls again, but to be the one to say, ‘You know, I’m not doing it because things feel now different from what they used.’
“I rather concentrate on my family and my company. I am now 45 and very happy to be the woman I am.”
It follows reports that all five Spice Girls could reunite to headline Glastonbury, and it was more recently revealed that they turned down the chance to perform at King Charles III’s Coronation concert last month .
