Kim Kardashian is ‘putting pressure’ on daughter North West, 9, to become ‘famous’ as preteen goes viral on TikTok
KIM Kardashian has reportedly “put pressure” on her daughter North to claim the spotlight, and it doesn’t look like she’s backing down anytime soon.
Despite being just nine years old, North – who Kim shares with ex-husband Kanye West – already has a promising career ahead, all thanks to her famous mum.
But Kim, 42, may be taking her efforts a little too far, according to InTouchwho spoke to sources close to the star.
“North is Kim’s first child. She’s always had hope for her, but the pressure she’s putting on her, which may be unintentional, is real,” the insider revealed.
“Kim really thinks she’s helping her daughter.”
The beauty mogul has been photographed with her eldest child a lot lately, as the preteen regularly flocks to Fashion events and even accompanied her mother to the Met Gala earlier this month.
However, Kim’s own lust for fame seems to have rubbed off on North, who also has big dreams of achieving celebrity stardom.
“North wants to be a big star, she says she wants to be bigger and more famous than her mom and dad. That’s an enormous amount of pressure to put on a little kid,” the source said.
Their shared ambition seems to motivate Kim even more to further her daughter’s career, and she’s well on her way.
“If Kim had her way, North would already have her own reality show, clothing line and an established brand,” the insider continued.
“She’s not that far though, it’s all part of the master plan. It’s all about being in the spotlight and staying relevant. That’s the Kardashian rule book – fame is the name of the game.”
Kim may be emulating the work ethic of her mother, Kris Jenner, 67, who helped propel her children to fame and fortune.
In addition to Kim, Kris manages her other daughters: Kourtney, 44; Khloe, 38; Kendall, 26; and Kylie, 25, who each have numerous successful business ventures and busy modeling careers.
TIKTOK FAMOUS
But while the famous family’s former reality series, Keeping Up With the Kardashians, put them on the map, it seems that Kim is turning to another platform to continue her daughter’s career – TikTok.
North has a joint TikTok account with her mother to comply with the app’s guidelines, which set the minimum user age at 13.
In one of their most recent videos, the mother-daughter pair dance to the song Go by Kanii and 9Lives in Kim’s multi-million dollar mansion.
Another clip showed them dancing to ABBA’s Money, Money, Money while being given a tour of their home’s massive kitchen.
DAD STEALS OFF
North’s father Kanye, 45, previously slammed his ex-wife for allowing their young daughter to be on TikTok in a scathing online rant.
I posted a screenshot of North from one of her TikToks and tagged Kim in the shot.
Kanye asked his followers on Instagram in all respects: “Since this is my first divorce, I need to know. What should I do if my daughter is put on Tik Tok against my will?”
It wasn’t the first time the rapper expressed his disapproval of North being on the app.
During an interview with Jason Lee of Hollywood Unlocked, he said: “Security is not going to come between me and my children.
“And my kids are not going to be on TikTok without my permission.”
Kim and Kanye are also parents to Saint, seven, Chicago, five, and Psalm, who recently turned four.
