Kate Middleton Dons Alexander McQueen Suit to Visit Prison in Sutton – celebritiestalks
Catherine, Princess of Wales, best known as Kate Middleton, visited HM Prison High Down on Tuesday in Sutton, England, to learn about the work the Forward Trust is doing to support those in the criminal justice system to manage and recover from their addictions in a blue, tailored Alexander McQueen suit.
She coordinated the suit with navy blue suede heels and a crisp white shirt. For accessories, she opted for a gold necklace from Daniella Draper.

Middleton also sported a bandaged finger that the Palace said was a result of a minor injury she suffered trampolining with her children.
The Princess of Wales became patron of The Forward Trust in June 2021 when the charity merged with Action on Addiction, one of Middleton’s first patronages in 2012 not long after her marriage to Prince William. The trust works in 25 prisons across the United Kingdom, helping prisoners address issues such as substance abuse, mental health, housing and employment for those released from prison.

Mental health causes have long been one of the main focuses of Middleton’s philanthropic work. Earlier this year, the Princess of Wales also launched the Shaping Us campaign, supporting the work of early childhood development.
During her visit to HMP High Down, Middleton met with four inmates to discuss overcoming alcohol usage and told the inmates she doesn’t believe addiction is a choice. Middleton’s visit comes ahead of Addiction Awareness Week in October.
The Princess of Wales also visited HMP High Down’s restaurant The Clink, which trains inmates in hospitality where she got to meet families who work with the Forward Trust. Middleton’s choice to wear Alexander McQueen, a go-to brand for her, comes just a day after the news the brand’s creative director Sarah Burton would be departing the brand.
