Kate Middleton visited Fitzalan High School in Cardiff, Wales, on Tuesday in honor of the U.K.’s Black History Month. She donned a navy chalk pin-striped blazer with gold statement buttons and matching trousers from Holland Cooper.

Underneath the suit, Middleton wore a white shirt bodysuit, also from Holland Cooper. She coordinated the suit with navy suede pumps from Gianvitto Rossi. For accessories, the Princess of Wales wore pearl earrings from Shyla Landon and a Ballon Bleu de Cartier watch.

Middleton’s husband, Prince William, joined her on the visit. He wore a chocolate brown jacket, navy trousers, a white shirt, a navy tie and brown suede shoes.

In the U.K., Black History Month runs from Oct. 1 to 31. The Prince and Princess of Wales began their day of public appearances marking Black History Month by greeting school children at the Grange Pavilion.

This year’s U.K. Black History Month marks the 75th anniversary of the arrival of the HMT Empire Windrush. Germany launched the ship in 1930 and, at the end of World War II, the British took it as a prize of war. In 1948, the Empire Windrush brought a large number of West Indian immigrants to the U.K., carrying 1,027 passengers on a passage from Jamaica to London.

In addition to meeting with schoolchildren, the Prince and Princess of Wales’ Tuesday social engagements included meetings with the Windrush Cymru Elders, Black History Cymru 365 and the Ethnic Minority Youth Forum for Wales.

Middleton’s choice to opt for a suit continues her streak of power dressing that she’s been on since September. Early in September, she visited HM Prison High Down, sporting a blue Alexander McQueen suit. For a late September visit to manufacturers in Lancaster and Leeds, the Princess of Wales wore a green Burberry suit.
