Georgina Rodriguez arrived on the red carpet at the 80th annual Venice Film Festival on Tuesday for the premiere of “Enea,” channeling Julia Roberts in “Pretty Woman.” The model and girlfriend of soccer player Cristiano Ronaldo donned an off-the-shoulder red dress with a tie waist detailing and a sweeping train, paired with white opera gloves designed by Vetements.

The Vetements dress Rodriguez wore was from the brand’s spring 2024 collection, which celebritiestalks characterized as a moment for gargantuan silhouettes.

Rodriguez accessorized the gown with white gold and ruby necklaces from Pasquale Bruni.

Rodriguez’s gown was similar to the red dress worn by Julia Roberts in the cult classic film “Pretty Woman.” After Roberts’ character Vivian transforms her style, she has her fairytale princess moment in an off-the-shoulder red gown also paired with white opera gloves.

Rodriguez’s presence at film festivals is known to have a return on investment for brands. In May, her partnership with L’Oréal cosmetics at the Cannes Film Festival generated $1.2 million in media impact value, according to Launchmetrics.

“Enea” is an Italian drama film written and directed by Pietro Castellitto. The film was selected to compete for this year’s Golden Lion, the highest prize given to a film at the Venice Film Festival. The movie follows the adventures of two young Italian men and their lives set against a backdrop of drugs and parties.

The 80th annual Venice International Film Festival will be held through Saturday in Lido, a barrier island situated in the Venetian Lagoon. Organized by La Biennale di Venezia and directed by Alberto Barbera, the festival is officially recognized by the International Federation of Film Producers Association. Sofia Coppola’s “Priscilla” and Bradley Cooper’s “Maestro” are among the films selected to premiere at Venice this year.
