FRED Sirieix has opened up about his shock sex symbol status as he revealed how he looks so good at 51.

The TV presenter has become a household name since rising to fame on First Dates and revealed all about being an unexpected ‘heartthrob’ and how he does 301 push-ups a day at the launch of LU Petit Ganache -biscuits.

Fred has been taken back by the attention he gets about his looks – and insists it’s all part of his lifestyle – even more so since turning 50.

The star of the hit C4 dating show told The Sun: “First of all I’m not a heartbreaker – but that’s nice of people to say.

“You have to sweat a lot. That’s the secret.

“I wake up every day, I drink a coffee and then I go and do my sport. I do my 301 push-ups, I do all kinds of exercises, I ride a bike on my bike. I train, I do my boxing training. It’s every single day.

“It’s about moving. As soon as I wake up. I get a good sweat. That’s a secret to good skin. A good sweat in the morning. Sweat. It’s great.

Fred talked about how he started pushing himself even further with his exercise after he turned 50.

He said: “When you turn 50 and you get older, you realize you can’t do the things you used to do because you degenerate.

“And unfortunately that’s the word. So the only way to combat degeneration is to go harder than you went when you were 30.”

He added: “That’s the key. 20 minutes is all you really need of physical activity a day to get your heart pumping and your blood going through your veins.”

Fred spoke to the Sun as he opened up about his other passion for cooking – nurtured by his mother in his native France.

To celebrate the launch of LU Le Petit Ganache, with its surprising silky chocolate centre, the TV presenter teamed up with LU to look at the pleasure a simple surprise gives people.

The simple act of surprising a loved one should not be underestimated – as a third (31%) of UK residents reveal the best memories come from small, surprising moments rather than big elaborate ones.

The TV chef opened up about childhood memories of his favorite treats.

He said: “When I was growing up in France, my mother used to hide Lu biscuits under the stairs.

So I have good memories. It’s my absolute favorite and my kids love it too.

The new ganache one is so delicious – it’s full of surprises.”

Fred, who does a cooking show with his good pals Gordon Ramsay and Gino Di Campio, revealed that he even has them in his love for Lu.

He told The Sun: “I would love to share a Lu biscuit with Gino the most.

“He loves surprises. He’s full of surprises.”

In between his many shows, Fred was busy working on his charity The right course where he hopes to train prisoners on how to cook.
