Everything We Know About the New Season of ABC’s The Bachelorette with Charity Lawson
The upcoming season of The Bachelorette is a big one for two reasons in particular. For one, it’s the 20th installment of the franchise, which was originally founded in 2003 with Trista Sutter (née Rehn) as the lead. And two, this is the first time that it Bachelor-and Bachelorette—creator Mike Fleiss will not be involved. (The controversial producer left the franchise just as filming began for the new season of The Bachelorette).
What this all means for the upcoming season is too soon to say, but what we do know is that child and family therapist, Charity Lawson—last seen on Zach Shallcross’ season of The old bachelor—will take the reins this summer.

When will the new season of The Bachelorette air?
The 20th season of the reality show, presented by oud Bachelor star Jesse Palmer, will premiere on ABC on Monday, June 26, and stream on Hulu the following day. However, instead of airing in its traditional 8 pm ET/7 pm CT timeslot, The Bachelorette will air an hour later, from 9pm ET/8pm CT to 11pm ET/10pm CT. The lead up will be Claim to fameco-hosted by Kevin and Frankie Jonas.
Most likely, the new season of The Bachelorette will air through August. Bachelor in Paradise will air this fall, but ABC hasn’t announced a specific date other than Tuesdays from 9:00 PM ET/8:00 PM CT to 10:00 PM ET/9:00 PM CT, meaning it will only air an hour per be week
Who is the new Bachelorette?
Charity Lawson, who was eliminated after her hometown date on Shallcross’ season. She is 27 years old (she turns 28 on December 30) and hails from Columbus, Georgia. She earned a master’s degree in clinical mental health counseling from Auburn University.
