While HBO Max has cut much of its original programming, the platform is buzzing sex and the city revive, And just like that…, still getting a second season.

The series has its fair share of highs (Carrie’s iconic look returns) and lows (Big’s tragic Peloton episode). But no matter where you stand on Miranda and Che Diaz, the show undoubtedly had us talking. And just like that, the discourse is sure to continue in season two.

While the season one finale included many storylines, it left some things hanging. More of Carrie’s dating life, please! And don’t you desperately want to know how long Miranda and Che will last as a couple? Here’s what we know about the second season of And just like that… so far.

For one, season two is of And just like that… happen?

Forks! “I’m thrilled and excited to tell more stories about these vibrant, brave characters—played by these powerful, incredible actors,” executive producer Michael Patrick King said in a statement in March 2022. “The fact is, we are all excited. And just like that… our sex life is back.”

Max Sarah Aubrey, head of original content at HBO, added that the team is “excited about the cultural conversation generated by these characters and their stories, in a world we already know and love so much.”

Before the official renewal, King indicated that he would be open to continuing the story of Carrie, Miranda and Charlotte (and maybe Samantha?). “While we were working, it always felt like the beginning,” he said Emmy Magazine, per E! News. “It didn’t feel like a beginning, middle and an end. So I think it is possible to continue – if we have enough good stories.”

Casey Bloys, HBO’s head of content, has also made it pretty clear that the show will continue if those involved want to continue the story. “I’m going to leave it up to these guys to figure out what they want to do, but I’m very happy with what they’ve done,” Bloys tell vulture in December 2021. “I’ll tell you, that’s kind of what you want in a show like this. It really feels like you’re picking up with old friends and haven’t missed a beat.”

When is And just like that… return?

Along with the teaser trailer — which, keep reading for that — Max revealed that season two will return on June 22, 2023.

How many episodes will there be?

Eleven episodes. The first two will premiere on Thursday, June 22, followed by one new episode a week every Thursday. It will all culminate with the finals on Thursday 24 August.
